Nice experience. Islands & beaches are beautiful. We enjoyed the longtail boat ride (1 hr) at Pileh Lagoon where we got to swim. We did not do snorkelling at the earlier spot. Speed boat ride was choppy esp on return. Lunch was wholesome but quite basic - rice options, noodles, chicken, fried fish, vegetarian. Kudos to Bobby our guide & his team for taking good care & an entertaining trip.

The trip was very well organized. Right from the pick from the hotel in the morning to the drop back in the evening, everything was meticulously executed. Jackie, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and explained the details with a little touch of humour. The catamaran staff were polite and helpful too. Snorkeling in the open sea was the highlight of the trip. The view from Maya bay was magical. I highly recommend this activity.

Things to know before booking your Phi Phi Island tour

Budget vs. luxury

  • Looking for an affordable way to experience Phi Phi? Budget-friendly tours (฿750 onwards) cover the must-see spots but come with basic boat amenities and simpler meal options.
  • If you’re after the full island experience with roomier boats, gourmet meals, and premium service, a luxury tour (฿3,700+) is well worth the upgrade.
  • Tip: Want a balance of comfort and cost? Mid-range tours (~฿1,600) offer better seating, upgraded meals, and snorkeling equipment without breaking the bank.

Half-day vs. Full-day tours

  • Short on time? A half-day tour (6-8 hours) lets you check off Phi Phi’s biggest highlights quickly – ideal for those with packed schedules or looking for a quick getaway.
  • Want the full experience? A full-day tour (~10–12 hours) gives you extra time to snorkel, relax, and explore at your own pace.

Boat types

  • Speedboat (45 min-1 hr) is best for those who value time over comfort. Get to Phi Phi fast and make the most of your day. Perfect for action-packed itineraries.
  • Catamaran (up to 90 min) is ideal if youprefer a more relaxed, comfortable journey. They offer more stability, better seating, and a smoother ride, especially if you’re prone to seasickness.
  • Whale Shark Boat (up to 60 min) combines speed, stunning views, and endless water fun. This spacious speedboat features a rooftop deck for panoramic vistas and an onboard water slide for an extra splash of excitement.
  • Longtail Boat (10–30 min) from Phi Phi offers a shared adventure in a traditional open-air vessel, perfect for a breezy, picturesque ride through stunning surroundings.
  • Tip: Traveling with kids or older family members? A catamaran is the better choice for a relaxed, hassle-free ride.

Which tour fits your travel style?

  • On a budget? A speedboat or a longtail boat tour gives you the essentials at the best price.
  • Solo traveler or adventure seeker? Full-day catamaran tour with snorkeling and water activities keeps the excitement going.
  • Luxury traveler? Indulge in a premium catamaran tour featuring gourmet meals, limited passengers, and VIP service, or opt for a Whale Shark Boat tour with a rooftop deck and an onboard water slide for the ultimate blend of comfort and adventure!

Ferry services

The best and most budget-friendly option for those who want to explore on their own, ferries and speedboats offer direct transfers between Phi Phi and Phuket/Krabi. Choose a big boat for a spacious, smooth ride or a speedboat to save time. Optional hotel transfers are available in Phuket.

National park fee

Phi Phi Islands are part of a National Park, and some tours don’t include the ฿400 entrance fee. You’ll need to pay this in cash upon arrival, so be prepared.

What’s included?

All tours cover hotel transfers, meals, snorkeling gear, and an English-speaking guide, so you can focus on enjoying the experience.

Most tours cover Maya Bay, Monkey Beach, and Pileh Lagoon – but keep an eye out for hidden gems like Viking Cave, Bamboo Island, and Maiton Island while picking your tour for a more unique adventure.
